Sibonelo Nongcula
Chief Executive Officer

Sibonelo fell in love with mathematics in her grade 9 classroom, where she had heated debates with her father who was also her maths teacher. It was after this experience that she felt that every student should love and not fear mathematics. During her final year at university, Sibonelo started tutoring grade 12 students in Mathematics and Physics, and this is when she fell in love with working with young people. When not in the office, Sibonelo is probably hiking a mountain or having a long walk along the beach. She also enjoys arts and craft and is always starting craft projects.

Honjiswa Mali
Operations Manager

With her calm and quiet demeanor, one could easily mistake her for a shy person. A nurturer at heart who is passionate about supporting the development of others, Honji is a firm believer that education is the foundation to endless opportunities. Her experience spans in Administration, HR and Operations. A homebody at heart, Honji also enjoys a day spent discovering new vineyards, spending the day at the beach with her two little humans and taking long drives to reflect.

Jo Denysschen
Finance Manager

Jo brings a wealth of knowledge in administration and finance which is central to her role as Finance Manager and supporting the team in its day to day activities. A genius at paying close attention to detail, she believes wholeheartedly in education especially in the foundation phase. While mathematics was her favorite subject at school, in her personal time she enjoys sewing, reading and spending time with her fluffy pets.

Nasser Abrahams
Chief Program Manager - CPT

Nasser is an enthusiastic and focused individual who is able to work effectively as a team member. He always displays a willingness to learn, is willing to try something new and will not hesitate to impart knowledge. His experience working in a school environment has developed a passion for education and empowerment. In his free time, he finds solace in all sports and gardening. He enjoys reading biographies and places family as a priority.

Luvuyo Notshokovu
Chief Program Manager - DBN

Luvuyo, better known as LV to most and self proclaimed Chief of Chief Program Managers was born in the Eastern Cape. A UCT graduate, he first served as a Program Manager in Cape Town before relocating to Durban to help establish Numeric's Durban office. Extremely passionate about people, LV prides himself in the work that he does. When not at work, he spends his time chilling with his close friends and reflecting on how he can make a bigger impact in the community.

Rugare Mabeza
Chief Program Manager - JHB

Rugare is a bubbly character who loves working with numbers. Her love for Maths was instilled by her Grade 3 teacher and she never turned back. As a Teach SA Alumnus, she brings with her knowledge, experience and skills that make a meaningful contribution to Numeric's mission of creating high-impact learning environments in low income areas. She's a Maths 24 aficionado and spends most of her time explaining to Numeric directors how to solve the Level 3 cards!

Matthew Lehman
Business Development Officer

Matt is a former attorney who took a gap year to teach English in Korea. During this time, he discovered his passion for education and came back to South Africa with a mission: to use his skills in a support role at an education NGO. He found that role at Numeric and hopes to help the organisation thrive. Outside of work, he enjoys both rugby and yoga, as well as walking his dogs on the mountain.

Bernice Skotha
National Alumni Coordinator

The name Bernice Skhotha is a brand. Affectionately called Sis B by her Coaches, Bernice is a force to be reckoned with. A teacher both professionally and at heart. A mentor who always strives to leave a positive impact on people around her. Her passion and purpose is on teacher development. When not at work, Bernice is being a super mom to her little girl.

Gaynor Links
Administrator - CPT

Enthusiasm and passion for education are what drive this dynamite-soul to get up in the morning and contribute to positive change. She aspires to be just that - to add value to the intellectual development of the next person. She believes sharing is caring and sharing knowledge will ultimately contribute to improving and uplifting communities and the economy as a whole. Outside the office, Gaynor finds pleasure in dancing crazily to her favourite music....behind closed doors of course!

Angelo Mackrill
Program Manager

Angelo was destined to be an educator, as he was born into a family of teachers. He has a natural drive to develop the minds of future generations through education. During his time as a teacher, Angelo realised that his reach was not vast enough; therefore, he needed a different manner of influencing learners, he found this at Numeric. Away from the office, he savours spending time with family, gaming and participating in social football.

Maphetole Molewa

Sibusiso Mdiniso
Program Manager

A BSc in Physics graduate from the University of the Western Cape; and former Numeric Coach, Sibusiso believes in the power of aligning yourself with what God has assigned you to do on earth. With his love for numbers and for learning, he believes that God has entrusted him with his wisdom so he can interact with others in a way that pleases God and the people he serves. He believes that by becoming a good manager with what you currently have, then God will entrust you to manage more and be able to BE MORE, DO MORE, and HAVE MORE.

Ziyanda Kebeni
Program Manager

Ziyanda is a BSc in Human Anatomy and Physiology graduate who from her undergraduate studies decided that education is where she would like to use her degree to make an impact. She has a variety of teaching experience from teaching online, to teaching in both private and public schools. Her experience involves being a Life Sciences, Natural Science and Mathematics teacher. After being a Mathematics teacher in high school and seeing how the learners were struggling and failing the subject she came to understand the importance of an organization like Numeric. An organization that seeks to strengthen Mathematics foundations whilst the learners are still in primary school. She is excited to join this organization thus making a  further  impact in the education sector. 

Thandeka Skhotha
Administrator - JHB

Growing up Thandeka found joy in helping her young cousins with their homework, this indicates that Thandeka had a passion for teaching at a very young age. Even though she did not pursue teaching as a profession, she still finds joy in seeing children from low income areas getting the help they need. When at home, Thandeka enjoys reading, learning new dances as she loves dancing and Chess is her favorite sport.

Zethembiso Sisi Mkhize
Program Manager

Sisi is a happy and positive human being with a great sense of humor. She believes in quality education for all, and that children should be helped realise that mathematics can be thoroughly enjoyed. Her experience in working with children for three years made her realize that when given adequate support and guidance, not even the sky is the limit for them. Sisi is an aspiring fitness bunny. When not at work, she's at the gym, or not; or restraining herself from indulging in dunked wings.

Onkemetse Makgosi
Program Manager

Coming from a disadvantaged background, with no formidable role models but teachers. Onkemetse performed poorly in his matric. With a self-discovered innate ability to do well in mathematics, Onkemetse decided to pursue a degree in mathematics, this journey helped him acknowledge the knowledge gaps he has. Upon completing it he looked through his rear mirror to see who he could give a hand to. Onkemetse loves football not only as a supporter he is playing amateur football as well.

Evans Rikhotso
Program Manager

Evans is a fun, sociable, energetic, confident, and outgoing individual who also takes pleasure in helping young South Africans reach their full potential. He loves mathematics and understands it well, but much more than that, he enjoys sharing his enthusiasm with learners. Outside of work, Evans spends most of his time with friends and family. His wish is to tour around different geographies exploring new things.

Zama Malevu
Administrator - DBN

Zama is a ray of sunshine; she brings energy that many love basking in. Highly optimistic, patient and kind. She cares about changing the world even if it means reaching one person at a time. She believes that education is one thing that no one can take away from you. She also believes that every child deserves a chance at a better life and a brighter future. Her love for non-profit work began when she took part in volunteer work where she focused mainly on contributing towards the betterment and development of society through education. Every day was rewarding, full of purpose and refreshing that is when she knew she could do this her whole life.

Noxolo Hlongwane

Noxolo also known as "Nox" was born and raised in KwaZulu Natal. She describes herself as a fun, optimistic and kind individual. She is passionate about social justice, developing skills, advocating for children and education. She believes mathematics is fun, interactive and ultimately is the key to help uplift and eradicate poverty in underprivileged communities.
