Become a Numeric Coach in 2021
August 28, 2020Numeric celebrates new CEO, Sibonelo Nongcula
August 9, 2021It is with a bittersweet heart that we announce Kristen Thompson’s departure from her role as Numeric’s CEO. Kristen who has served in the role for the past three years officially served her last day on Friday, 16 July 2021. Kristen joined Numeric in 2013 initially serving in the role of Program Manager, and serving in other roles before becoming CEO in 2018
Kristen says of her time at Numeric, “I’m incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished together. When I started at Numeric, we worked in 11 schools in Cape Town and we are now in 44 schools in three provinces and we’ve served over 16,500 learners together. Thank you to our team, you are the hardest working and most passionate group of people that I could have possibly had the honour of working with. Our coaches continue to inspire me everyday and provide a glimpse of the bright future of South African education if we are able to continue investing in these future teachers. My thanks to our board and funders for your continued support and for encouraging all of us to strive for excellence and to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our beneficiaries and the future of South African education. I wish the team all the best and I’m excited to see the organisation grow from strength to strength under our new leadership.”
Although a huge loss to the organization and its day to day operations, we are excited that Kristen will continue to serve and support the objectives of Numeric in her capacity as board member.
Numeric and the team at large wish to thank Kristen for her hard work and dedication over the years and wish her and her family all the best of luck for the future.
